We will be occupying the entire fourth floor of the building, and this space will be the home of our Protective/Investigative and Fire/Life Safety Divisions as well as our state of the art training facility. Beginning in 2012 we will be offering the following courses/training programs:

Tactical Pistol Training/Judgment Shooting using the Meggitt XVT System:
Training will be conducted using Meggitt’s state of the art shooting simulator and is identical to the system currently in use at the FBI/DEA Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Participants will use inert training weapons that have been permanently and irrevocably altered to fire a laser burst detectable only by the system. Our instructors have been certified to provide this training by the United States Department of Justice and provide a level of training not commonly available to the general public. Participants are subject to background screening prior to attending the courses. Private and group sessions available.

Krav Maga:
The name of this martial art literally means “contact battle” or “contact combat”. Krav Maga is a system of self defense that combines the techniques of several martial disciplines into a practical and efficient defensive fighting system. This system is used by the Israeli Defense Force as well as military and law enforcement units around the world. Global’s instructors are all Israeli practitioners that formerly taught for the Israeli Security Services. Group and private training is available and sessions are forming now for the first quarter of 2012. Call for further information.

Global continues to provide protective services to executives, dignitaries and “A” List celebrities in New York City and around the world. We also offer secure transportation services and maintain a fleet of late model SUVs (armored and unarmored).

In response to the surge in recent threats directed at those in the financial services industry, we are providing comprehensive security and life/safety assessments for individuals working in this targeted sector. In addition, we are also offering on-location safety and security briefings. These presentations detail the basic security measures that executives must follow in order to enhance their own level of personal security. Our instructors can provide a variety of programs from a 45 minute “Executive Safety Briefing” to more comprehensive full and half day sessions. Please contact us for additional information.

Global Security Group is pleased to announce that it is now providing well-trained and highly experienced Site Safety & Construction Site Fire Safety Managers to construction and demolition companies in the New York City area. As of June 1, 2011, any construction, demolition or alteration site requiring the presence of a Site Safety Manager also requires the presence of a Construction Site Fire Safety Manager (CSFSM) while work is ongoing (FDNY Fire Code Section 1408). Currently, local law allows both functions to be performed by a single individual. However, anticipated code changes will require that each task (SSM & CSFSM) be performed by separate qualified persons.

Global Security Group has been approved by the FDNY to train qualified individuals to serve in the capacity of a CSFSM. In addition, Global has retained and trained a number of Site Safety Managers as well as former FDNY officers or firefighters with specialized skills to serve as Construction Site Fire Safety managers. Global will be hosting a number of advanced driving programs throughout the nation and abroad. These programs will be taught by one of the most experienced and highly-regarded tactical driving instructors extant. Courses will include basic emergency vehicle operations, counter-terror driving and driving for executive protection specialists. Please contact us if you are interested in attending. We are also able to provide on-location training subject to a threshold number of attendees and the availability of a suitable track.

Global provides a variety of security & life safety services to clients around the world. In addition, our master instructors are preparing to deploy a variety of specialized training programs to a number of locations abroad. Look for our anticipated training in Saudi Arabia, Turkey & Morocco in early 2012. Programs will include a variety of specialized tactical training courses in addition to fire fighting, heavy rescue, confined space rescue & emergency response. Instructors are all drawn from the FBI/DEA Academy in Quantico, Virginia (Tactical & Firearms) and the Fire Service Academy of the FDNY (fire fighting, rescue and emergency response).
